The Atacama.3 surprises with its sleek profile – nearly 2 mm thinner than its predecessor and now under 12 mm in total height. Remarkably compact for an automatic watch built for extreme durability. Thanks to its slim case and flexible lugs, it fits the wrist ergonomically and wears so effortlessly, you might forget how much power it holds inside.

The redesigned dial of the Atacama.3 features a beveled outer ring with applied indices that creates visual depth and enhances the flat appearance of the watch. The proven legibility remains – with bold markers, high-contrast two-tone hands, and intense Superluminova. What works stays. Just better.
New look. Same mission.
The Atacama.3 now features a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating. This diamond-like carbon layer is significantly harder, more scratch-resistant, and more durable than previous finishes. The result: a deep black, matte surface that reinforces the watch’s tool character and stands up to the toughest challenges – day after day, mission after mission.

A small detail with a big impact:
an orange tube on the crown instantly shows whether it’s screwed down – a crucial safety feature in the field. Only in the screwed position is the Atacama.3 – like its predecessor – water-resistant up to 50 ATM. Proven in our Atacama Quartz UTC model, this feature now ensures added security and control in the Atacama.3.

Its hands, numerals, and indices are generously coated with Superluminova – a high-performance luminous compound with intense brightness and long afterglow. The two-tone hand design boosts intuitive legibility: hour and second hands glow green, the minute hand stands out in orange. Uncompromising readability – a hallmark of all Laco mission watches, made for maximum function under real-world conditions.

Backed by demand from professionals and demanding users alike: the Atacama now comes with a solid stainless steel bracelet, fully DLC-coated and ready for extreme conditions. A folding clasp with safety lock prevents accidental opening, and quick-release spring bars make strap changes easy. Bonus: the bracelet fits all Atacama models.
