Das Baumuster A zeichnet sich durch ein schlichtes Design mit Stundenzahlen aus. Das Zifferblatt mit großem Stundenkreis weist dabei die Ziffern 1 bis 11 auf. Aus Gründen der besseren Ablesbarkeit hat das Baumuster A statt der arabischen "12" ein Dreieck mit zwei Punkten an dieser Stelle. Diese Markierung konnten die Piloten früher selbst unter stressigen Bedingungen auf den ersten Blick erkennen.

Fliegeruhren mit dem Baumuster B erleichterten früher Navigatoren ihre Arbeit. Charakteristisch für den Fliegeruhrtyp B sind die großen Minutenzahlen in 5er-Schritten am Rand. Die klassische Stunden-Einteilung von 1 bis 12 ist in arabischen Zahlen und in einem zusätzlichen Innenring zu sehen.

The dial has neither a logo nor the "Made in Germany" lettering. Even the military pilot watches of the 1940s usually did not have a logo of the manufacturing company. Simply so that this additional "useless" element does not limit the readability and functionality of the watch.

This watch does not have a visible date window. Therefore, Laco disables the so-called "ghost position" of the crown (also known as phantom date) on these movements. This means that the watch has no unnecessary crown position, which is normally responsible for the date switching of the movement.
