The Dortmund is the navigators' observation watch in its most powerful form: a historically faithful pilot watch with a type B dial and hand-wound movement in a 45 mm case. The large minute track around the edge has especially generous room here – exactly what mattered when navigating by the watch.
Hand-wound, type B dial, large format: this combination comes very close to the observation watches of the 1940s. The construction follows them too, with a barrel-shaped case, straight lugs, a pressed-in case back and a dark sandblasted finish. Of the five historic manufacturers, Laco is the only one worldwide that still builds its pilot watches in this original construction today.
Heat-blued hands with luminous material, luminous numerals and markers, a domed sapphire crystal and the engraving FL23883 on the case flank complete the historical picture. The large crown is easy to grip, both for daily winding and for setting the time.
The wide brown riveted calfskin strap holds the watch securely on your wrist. An authentic observation watch (B-Uhr) for strong wrists and for anyone who wants to wear the original with full presence.
