Minutes on the outside, hours on the inside, and the rotor does the winding: the Paderborn is a historically faithful original pilot watch with a type B dial and an automatic movement. It combines the navigators' dial with the convenience of a watch that keeps running while you wear it.
The type B dial was created for the navigators' work: anyone fixing the aircraft's position with a watch and an octant needed the minutes large and instantly readable. That is why they sit on the outer ring, with the hours small on the inside.
Laco builds the Paderborn the way it was built in the 1940s: with a barrel-shaped case, straight lugs, a closed press-fit case back and a dark sandblasted finish. This makes Laco the only one of the five historic manufacturers worldwide that still builds its observation watches this way. A domed sapphire crystal and the FL23883 engraving on the case flank are, of course, part of the package.
With 42 mm, blued hands and a brown riveted calfskin strap, the Paderborn is an authentic pilot watch for every day.
