The Westerland Erbstück is exactly what you imagine a pilot watch with a past to be: big, marked by time, wound by hand. It is a historically faithful, hand-aged pilot watch with a type A dial and a hand-wound movement in a 45 mm case.
At Laco, every detail of its age is crafted individually. The case receives nicks and scratches, the dial an antique look, the blued hands an individual aging – on request with partly chipped luminous material. Every watch is unique.
The construction matches the observation watches of the 1940s right down to the crown: barrel-shaped case, straight lugs, closed press-fit case back. As the only one worldwide of the five historic manufacturers, Laco still makes pilot watches in this form today.
The hand-wound movement is wound daily via the large crown – a gesture that belongs to this watch as much as its patina. The aged brown riveted vintage leather strap completes the look. Three aging levels are available.
