The Ulm 39 brings small seconds and refined mechanics into a compact format. It is a modern hand-wound pilot watch in a 39 mm case, designed for slimmer wrists – and so explicitly also for women looking for a technically sophisticated watch.
For this format, Laco uses the Laco 261 caliber, based on the Sellita SW261 in Elaboré grade. It features hacking seconds, allowing the watch to be set to the exact second. Geneva stripes, blued screws, a sunburst finish on the crown and ratchet wheels and a Laco engraving are on show through the large sapphire crystal case back.
The hand-wound movement allows for an especially slim case that slides effortlessly under any sleeve. Polished and sandblasted surfaces alternate, giving the compact watch a precise, lively finish.
The type A dial with small seconds at 6 o'clock is clearly laid out; Superluminova C3 on the numerals, indices and lozenge (Losangé) hands ensures legibility in any light. A brown smooth leather strap with stainless steel buckle completes the watch.
