Large, well-worn, with history written on its face: the Dortmund Erbstück looks like an observation watch that a navigator has worn for decades. It is a historically faithful, hand-aged pilot watch with a type B dial and hand-wound movement in a 45 mm case.
Scratches and nicks on the case, a patina on the matte black dial, aged hands: at Laco, every detail is worked individually by hand. That is why every Dortmund Erbstück is one of a kind – there is only one exactly like it.
Beneath the patina lies the construction of the 1940s – barrel-shaped case, straight lugs, a pressed-in case back with engraving and a crown like that of the historical observation watch. Of the five historic manufacturers worldwide, Laco is the only one that has stayed true to this construction to this day. So if you are looking for an aged observation watch, you get both here: authentic construction and an authentic look.
The hand-wound movement is wound daily, and the brown riveted vintage leather strap is aged as well. You can choose the aging in three levels; the standard is level 2, as shown.
