The Friedrichshafen Erbstück looks as if it has flown many missions – yet it has only had one: in Laco's workshop, where it was aged by hand. It is a historically faithful pilot watch with a type B dial, automatic movement and a large 45 mm case.
Case, dial, hands and strap are each worked individually, entirely without machine assistance. The traces are so individual that no two watches are alike; on request, the luminous material on the hands can even be partly chipped away.
The foundation is the historical construction of the observation watches: barrel shape, straight lugs, closed press-fit case back and a large crown. Of the five historic manufacturers worldwide, only Laco still builds pilot watches this way today – so every Erbstück begins life as a truly authentic pilot watch.
The automatic movement winds itself as you wear it, and the aged brown riveted vintage leather strap completes the impression. Three aging levels are available, from subtle traces to a heavily marked piece.

- Closed loop pilot's brown calf leather strap with rivets
