The Speyer brings the navigators' dial to a compact size: it is a historically faithful original pilot watch with a type B dial, an automatic movement and a 39 mm diameter. Large minute track outside, small hour ring inside – a layout that, once understood, you will never want to be without.
The automatic movement keeps the watch running while you wear it, without changing its historical character. After all, the Speyer is built like a 1940s observation watch: with a barrel-shaped case, straight lugs and a closed press-fit case back, dark sandblasted and bearing the FL23883 marking on the case flank.
This kind of construction has become rare today. Of the five historic manufacturers worldwide, Laco alone remains true to it – even for its compact models.
Heat-blued hands, luminous material and a domed sapphire crystal complete the picture, while the brown riveted calfskin strap rounds off the look. An authentic observation watch for slimmer wrists that proves itself on weekdays and weekends alike.
