Clear, gray, steely: the Augsburg Grau 42 MB combines the type A dial with a solid stainless steel bracelet. A matte gray dial and silvery steel make for a monochrome pilot watch with a metal bracelet and automatic movement – matter-of-fact, elegant and free of any superfluous detail.
Large hour numerals and the triangle with two dots at 12 o'clock make the time instantly readable. The heat-blued hands are a subtle eye-catcher by day and glow bright blue-green at night, as do the numerals and markers.
Despite the steel bracelet, the case remains pleasantly flat; curved end links lead the bracelet to the satin-finished case without a step. That is the signature of the BASIC collection: the ORIGINAL series preserves the powerful silhouette of the historical observation watch with its onion crown and domed crystal, while the BASIC makes the pilot watch slimmer and better suited to everyday wear without changing its face.
Delivered in a gray zip case – a pilot's watch for the office, travel and the weekend, available on request with the Laco 31 caliber and a longer power reserve.
