The Genf.2.D is the uncomplicated way into the world of Laco pilot watches: a flat pilot watch with date and a Swiss quartz movement. Its matte black dial follows the type A design, with the date placed discreetly at 6 o'clock, leaving the clear layout untouched.
The quartz movement runs precisely and is ready at once, even if the watch has not been worn for several days. At the same time, it allows a case just 9 mm high that slips under any shirt cuff and is barely noticeable on the wrist.
This is exactly where the difference between the two Laco collections becomes clear. The ORIGINAL series recreates the observation watches of the 1940s with their powerful presence; the BASIC translates them into a light, contemporary form – and the Genf.2.D distills this idea down to its essentials.
Luminous material on the numerals and hands provides orientation at night, and sapphire crystal protects the dial. The riveted brown leather strap is reminiscent of the straps on historical pilot watches. The domed crown sits comfortably between your fingers when you set the time or date.
