Gray is the new black: the Aachen Grau 42 translates the type B dial into a monochrome color scheme. Matte gray dial, gray leather strap, light-toned steel – a gray pilot watch with an automatic movement that pairs with almost any wardrobe.
The only splash of color comes from the heat-blued hands. Depending on the light, they shimmer in deep blue or appear almost black – a detail from traditional watchmaking that gives the gray real depth. By day the luminous material stays white; in the dark it glows blue-green.
Minutes on the outside, hours on the inside: the dial follows the observation watches once used by navigators, while everything else belongs to the present. The ORIGINAL series stays true to the colors and proportions of its predecessors; the BASIC collection allows itself gray, blued steel and a satin-finished case with curved lugs. At 42 mm, the watch has presence without ever being loud.
The riveted gray leather strap is available with a folding clasp on request, and the watch comes in a gray zip case. A pilot watch for anyone who appreciates understatement.
