The Aachen 42 MB is the Aachen in its most rugged form: a modern pilot watch with an automatic movement and a solid stainless steel bracelet. Its type B dial comes from the navigators’ observation watches – minutes on the outside, hours on the inside, so that not a single minute was lost when fixing the aircraft’s position.
With its curved end links, the bracelet flows seamlessly into the satin-finished case, so watch and bracelet look as if cut from one piece. At 42 mm, you feel the weight of the steel on your wrist – not as a burden, but as substance.
Unlike the ORIGINAL models with their sandblasted cases and straight lugs, the BASIC collection opts for a smoother, contemporary line that looks just as natural at the office as it does on the weekend. Luminous material on the numerals and hands keeps the display legible at night, and the sapphire crystal case back reveals the automatic movement.
And a metal bracelet shrugs off what leather resents: rain, sport, a hot summer’s day. If you want more power reserve, choose the Laco 31 caliber as an upgrade.
