Product information Pilot Watches BASIC Aachen 39
Art.Nr. 861990
Compact, yet unmistakably a pilot watch: the Aachen 39 brings the type B dial down to 39 mm – and onto wrists where conventional pilot watches can quickly look too large. For women and men alike, it is a modern automatic pilot watch that is pleasantly light to wear.
On the dial, everything stays just as the navigators of the 1940s needed it: the minutes large on the outer edge, the hours in the small inner circle. The first time you wear it, you might read it twice – after that, you will never read it any other way.
The BASIC collection translates this instrument into a slim, everyday form. Where the ORIGINAL series relies on historical proportions, a high-domed crystal and a striking crown, what counts here are curved lugs, a flat sapphire crystal and a satin finish. Through the exhibition case back you can see the automatic movement, which winds itself as you wear it; at night, the luminous material takes over.
The slim riveted leather strap underlines the refined proportions. On request, the watch is available with the Laco 31 caliber or with a crystal that is anti-reflective on both sides.
